Well hello. Hands up who thought I was dead?
Speaking of being dead, It's farewell to David Hockney, the pro-smoking crusader who dabbled in the fine arts in his spare time. There has been some discussion about who is now Bradford's most famous living son. For nostalgic reasons - and because it's hard to get away from football at the moment - I favour Ces Podd, but a consensus seems to be forming around Dynamo.
It's also farewell to Sir Kier. On the one hand I am a bit miffed that it appears that there won't be a contest to replace him, and that therefore I won't get to vote. On the other hand, given that I clearly had no intention in voting for either Burnham or Streeting, my vote wouldn't have counted for much anyway.
And finally, it's farewell to the legendary wargames room, epicentre of wargaming in the Lower Wharfe Valley. We seem to have played our last game there, and sadly didn't realise it at the time. More details will not follow.
