So where does that leave us?

I've been searching through reports of Johnson's statement, but can't find any specific mentions of playing with toy soldiers. We need to find a proxy. Do you think it's more like going to the gym, or more like going to the zoo?

  1. hmmm... 17th May, 2 households ( up to 6 people ) can mix indoors if all goes well. So presumably that could include 'face to face' gaming? Until then, we are all still playing the garrison in a very large game of 'Vauban's Wars'. Just substitute the word 'Parallel' with 'LockDown' as in 1st, 2nd, 3rd ( final?), etc

    1. p.s 'Persuasion' is lovely stuff - a little less fantastical than 'P&P'? Hope you are enjoying it! And a Napoleonic Wars setting, too.. The BBC film was good, I thought, though have not watched in ages.

    2. Funnily enough, the trigger for re-reading 'Persuasion' (after several decades) was reading somewhere that a Hollywood version is in production.

    3. interesting, though not sure if the heroine isn't a bit too low-key for Hollywood? She couldn't be described as exactly 'feisty'. Meanwhile over on MS Foy's blog I am standing up for the books I liked best (as a child) before discovering Austen..
